Round Robin Pittsburgh Rules and Scoring

Scoring:

1.  Points are earned depending on a player’s final score each game.  A score of 25 and below will earn 4 points, 50 and below will earn 3 points, 75 and below will earn 2 points and 100 and below will earn 1 point.

2.  Zero outs will earn an additional 3 points.  Super Tons will earn an additional 2 points and Tons will earn an additional 1 point.  Any additional points earned are not divided in case of a tie.

3.  The outer bullseye is set to 25 points.

Rules:

1.  The game played will be 301 and each game will last 8 rounds.

2.  All participants will be divided up between the number of boards available.  For example, if there are 27 people and 4 boards, three of the boards will have 7 players and one board will have 6 players.  Everyone will play 6 games.

3.  Each player will play each other once on the board they are assigned to.  If there is a board with a fewer number of players than the other boards, each player on that board will play one game against a Dummy score.

4.  If scores are tied at the end of a game, the points earned for one player at that score and the next lower score will be added together and divided equally between the two players who have tied.  For example, if both players end with a score of 24, the 7 points earned between the two players would be divided and each would earn 3.5 points for that game.  If the tie score is 30, the total 5 points earned will be divided and each will earn 2.5 points.

5.  If both players scores are below the same threshold at the end of the game and their scores are different, the player with the lower score will earn the points for that level and the player with the higher score will earn the points for the next level.  For example, if a player has a final score of 18 and the other player is at 20, the player with 18 will earn 4 points and the player with 20 will earn 3 points.

6.  The four people with the highest scores will play on one board for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Place for the event.  If any of the final four players tie for total number of points earned, their place will then be decided by the most Zero Outs, then the most Wins, and lastly the most Tons scored.
